The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) works to create opportunities for economic growth in the region by helping businesses become more competitive, innovative and productive, by working with diverse communities to develop and diversify local economies, and by championing the strengths of Atlantic Canada.
Regional Development Corporation (RDC)
The Regional Development Corporation is responsible for working across government departments to help support communities and drive economic growth. We are also responsible for providing funding through various programs including the Community Development Fund, Total Development Fund, Community Investment Fund, Rural Economy Fund, Pre-Construction and Infrastructure Fund for Housing and First Nation Development Fund. We work in partnership with municipalities, not-for-profit organizations and communities to support the province’s development priorities.
Community Business Development Corporation (CBDC)
Assist in the creation of small businesses and Startups, and in the expansion and modernization of existing businesses by providing financial and technical services to entrepreneurs.
