Marketing Co-Investment Programs

There are two co-investment marketing programs available in 2024/2025:

RDMO MARKETING SUPPORT PROGRAM

Tourism, Heritage, Culture (THC) will match marketing investments by each Regional Service Commission (RSC) up to $50,000 to support Regional Destination Marketing Organization (RDMO) responsibilities.

To allow for program flexibility during the establishment of the RDMOs, eligibility of marketing fund allocation will be considered on an individual basis. An approved spending outline and supporting marketing plan is required to access the funds.  

Examples of how this fund could be used:

  • Digital asset development and management (ie: photo and video shoots, CrowdRiff platform) 
  • Regional website creation/enhancements/upgrades
  • Market Research
  • Content creation and translation
  • Hiring a marketing resource (year 1 only)
  • Regional advertising campaigns and other marketing initiatives
  • THC Co-Investment Advertising Program* 
  • Other needs and requirements* 

(*must be marketing related and funds can only be matched once) 

How to apply:  

  • CLICK HERE to complete the expression of interest form (deadline: December 5th)
  • You will receive a funding application form via email to be returned to THC by December 15th along with the following documents:
    • Your regional tourism marketing strategy
    • Your 2024/25 marketing plan 
    • A spending plan for matched funds

CO-INVESTMENT ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN PROGRAM

Tourism, Heritage and Culture is offering a co-investment advertising program for Regional Destination Marketing Organizations (RDMO), New Brunswick Destination Marketing Organizations (DMO)/Regional Tourism Associations (RTA) and sector associations. All advertising will be part of THC’s existing advertising campaign dedicated to external markets outside of NB. Funds will be provided on a matching basis with investment levels starting at $15,000 and increasing to $200,000. Funds will be made available April 1st, 2024. 

Program Benefits

  • Alignment with Tourism, Heritage and Culture activity – Each partner will have a direct line into the activity of THC resulting in a stronger alignment of media channels, key performance indicators, and audiences. 
  • Expertise – Each partner will receive their own advertising campaign guided by creative and paid media expertise. 
  • Buying Power – Each partner will benefit from the buying power of the THC campaign, resulting in added value and savings. 
  • Audience Sharing – Each partner will benefit from audiences that THC has already qualified, resulting in stronger performance and more efficiency of dollars spent. 

We recognize that different partners have different marketing budgets. Complete details on all levels of co-investment will be shared via email once partners have stated their interest in participating.
